Drew Dalziel Santander account was blocked off by a customer service representative who misgendered her upon hearing her voice.

Dalziel is currently in vocal training and had phoned up the bank to query a charge she had incurred on her account.

She said that when answering security questions, she was told that her account would be blocked for a week because “she sounded like a man”.

Dalziel said: “While I can see why this happened, it has been stressful.

“I haven’t had access to my money and have had to borrow to get by.

Two Men Charged With Attacking New York Transwoman

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Authorities arrested and charged two men with a hate crime after a Wednesday morning attack on a transgender woman in Stapleton.

Tapharia Jones, 24, of Port Richmond, and Yaqwa Jones, 20, of Stapleton, allegedly attacked the 29-year-old woman near the intersection of Prospect and Bay Streets at approximately 9:40 a.m., authorities allege.

As they kicked and punched the woman, they made multiple comments about her transgender status, according to police reports.

The victim was treated at the scene by EMS workers for minor injuries.

Early Monday morning, a transgender woman was found murdered outside of a College Park apartment complex in the Atlanta area.

The woman, TeeTee Dangerfield, 32, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near her car at the South Hampton Estates, according to the College Park Police Department. She was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital and ultimately died of her injuries, Major Lance Patterson told Georgia Voice.
